Daniel is the CEO and founder of Brightmerge Ltd. a modeling and operating AI SW developer. Previously he founded Kayema Energy Solutions (PTY) Ltd., a leading integrator of renewable energy solutions in Africa. Daniel was its CEO and in 2015 sold the company to NRG Renew after becoming one of Africa's leading renewable energy project developers and system integrators, counting amongst its clients' some of Africa's leading corporations, including Standard Bank, Legacy Group, Vodacom, Nestle, SAPPI and Sasol. Kayema received the Energy Company of the Year Award from the South African Association for Energy Efficiency.

Daniel also established BrightSource Energy Inc. in Southern Africa generating over $1bn in the sales pipeline. In 2011, BrightSource was nominated for the Energy Project Award from the South African National Energy Association.
