Patience P. Bukirwa is pursuing a master's degree in Sustainable Energy Futures at Imperial College London. She is passionate about using a multidisciplinary approach for the development of sustainable solutions to global challenges. This has led to her career path crossing from a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering to management consulting at Deloitte and acquiring certification in accounting (ACCA). Her current focus is the intersection of these skills in supporting energy access to rural communities mainly for productive uses. She is completing a master's thesis on techno-economics of micro-grids in rural Amazon, while her bachelor's thesis was focused on potential of faecal sludge gasification for power production in sewage treatment plants.
