Trey Jarrard is an accomplished entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in private equity, project finance, real estate development, online business and digital distribution. He founded Renewvia Energy Corporation, a small U.S. solar company based in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2008 to develop solar power systems in various financeable domestic geographies. Under his leadership, the company expanded its services to include international microgrid development, completing its first projects in the Marianas Islands in 2016 and Kenya in 2018.
Today, Renewvia operates under an expanded mission not only to add value to its U.S. clients, but also to provide above market returns for investors while improving quality of life for people in power challenged areas globally. Creating subsidiaries in Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda, Renewvia is particularly focused on sub-Saharan Africa, where the access to energy challenge is the greatest and where Renewvia's Rural Microgrid Development and Operation Model has the greatest potential to generate sustainable impact and return on investment.
