Optimizing Lithium Ion Batteries for Minigrids While Mitigating Potential Risks

It is undeniable fact that the growth of energy storage and data centres continues unabated and will for several years. As the cost has reduced and performance improved, Li-ion batteries have been extensively installed. However, and there is a wealth of information to confirm, their safety is occasionally compromised. Technologies exist to help mitigate the dangers and regulations should be mandated to help. Our aim is to educate the wider industry both to the possibilities of lithium ion but also to the dangers, whilst offering solutions to mitigate against potential disaster.

Key Takeaways:
  • How Lithium-ion batteries help
  • Identify potential dangers
  • Review of solutions
  • Current and future regulations - what should be the standard?
