Javier Ayala is a specialist in impact investing, challenge fund management and inclusive business. His experience is in development projects: supply chain in agriculture and basic products and services for BoP (Bottom of the Pyramid) consumers, as well as resource mobilization from investors, international cooperation and private sector. As SNV Mozambique Energy Sector Lead, Javier is focused on BRILHO Mozambique, a five-year program, 2019 - 2024, that will catalyze Mozambique's energy market of improved cooking solutions, solar home systems and green minigrids to provide clean and affordable energy solutions to the off-grid population and businesses. Prior to his current position, Javier was Executive Manager and Chief of Party at IAP Innovations Against Poverty Fund (IAP2), a specialized fund with the specific mandate to identify and invest in innovative inclusive business models that deliver both commercial benefits for the private sector and developmental benefits for the low income markets. Javier holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Universidad Católica Boliviana and a Master's in Development Economics and International Cooperation from the University of Rome Tor Vergata.
