Accelerating Energy Access in Africa: Smart Integration of Solar Home Systems and Mini-grids

As the world aims at being more electric and sustainable, the demand for microgrids is growing in all and every geographies and segments: from large reliability-driven microgrids to Smart Buildings / Communities with Solar & Storage.

The challenge is not anymore technology readiness -- that has been proven over the last decade. Rather, the challenge lies in the capabilities of our industry to deliver at larger scale more and more efficient microgrids. It requires us to change our approach for ideating, sizing, implementing and operating microgrids, with standard solutions fitting the needs of each and every segment, that can be simply and intuitively engineered by software tools and operated seamlessly over the project life cycle.

This session will illustrate through the example of what Schneider has developed: the company's EcoStruxure Microgrid Build, which allows for the configuration of a microgrid in half a day when several days or weeks are usually required.
